You can't use normal mounts within The Maw until you finish the Who is the Maw Walker? quest in the new Patch 9.1 quest chain.

You will get much more Elethium Ore than outside of the Maw.Įlethium Deposits can also spawn in areas with elite mobs in other zones and you also have a small chance of getting 1-3 Elethium Ore from other Shadowlands mining nodes. The Maw is the best place to farm Elethium Ore because the only deposit that spawns there is Elethium Deposit. You can farm Elethium Ore with Shadowlands Mining skill 1, but you will get more ores with higher mining skill. There are no ore ranks in Shadowlands, so the only thing that will affect how many ores you mine is your mining skill. These are the best zones if you want to farm Thorium Ore.I made this Elethium Ore farming guide to help out players who want to farm the ores instead of buying them from the Auction House. (if you open the map, she will be marked with a white text bubble at northeast) But, if you talk to Zidormi, she will allow you to switch between phased/low-level and Legion/level-50+ versions of the Silithus. IMPORTANT! If you are level 50 and have done the Argus questline, Silithus will be phased and most Thorium Veins will not be there. (You might also get lost in those caves because it's hard to find out.)

You will have to fight mobs and you will get dismounted if you go inside. There are a bunch of caves filled with bugs, but don't go inside them. Silithus is also an excellent place to farm Thorium. The reason I like Un'Goro is because of the layout of the zone, one big loop around the zone and that's it. You could actually just go off the route that I recommend and you will still find Thorium everywhere. I believe Winterspring is the best place for mining Thorium, there is so much Rich Thorium veins in this zone.

Thorium Ore farming in Classic Winterspring Azeroth zones are different in retail WoW, and you can also use flying mounts. The guide you are currently reading is for Shadowlands.
